I’ve been doing mass mailings lately to put myself out there in the LA market.  A coworker and fellow actor, Michael, recommended that I get envelopes from Samuel French that have a window for your headshot to be seen.  So I did.  Submitted for your approval, if you ever wanted to know what 20 of me looked like:

On another note: the guy at the post office in Encino now knows me by name.

Hey! This may sound like a silly question, but I’m getting ready to do the same with my headshots and resumes, but I’m not quite sure how to put the mailing address and return mailing address on there. I’m sure I put them on the inside somehow, but is there a particular trick you use?

      Hey Jackie,

I’d recommend using Samuel French’s headshot & resume mailing envelopes. There’s a window in the envelope where your headshot is visible and you can type the address and return on the back. Samuel French even has their own mailing labels based on agencies: theatrical or commercial. This is for the bigger markets though so if you’re in a regional market you may have to do your research.

If you aren’t able to get the clear envelopes, then use white not manilla. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance!
